1st Bankers Invitational Golf Tournament

Dear fellow rural banker:

As part of the RBAP 50th Annual National Convention, we are pleased to announce the staging of the 1st Bankers Invitational Golf Tournament that will be held at the prestigious Camp John Hay Golf Club in Baguio City on May 21, 2003.

This pre convention tournament is envisioned to challenge the different Rural Bank Confederations and our Partners like the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, PDIC, Govt and Private Commercial Banks, and other Business Associates to field formidable participants in this maiden annual golf event.

We then take this opportunity to invite you to join us by fielding a Five Man Team- Four Players To Count in a PAL System Scoring Format. There will be two divisions, the RBCONFED DIVISION for Rural Bankers and the PARTNERS DIVISION for our Partners and Associates.

You can also send your Individual Players to participate in the INDIVIDUAL OPEN either in the MEN’S, LADIES’ and JUNGOLF Division where players can compete for Individual Honors.

The Team Participation Fee will be P11,750.00 which includes Green Fees, Tournament Fees, Raffle Stubs and Dinners during the Awards Ceremonies. Individuals will be assessed P2,350.00 (CJH non-member) and P600 (CJH members) for the same amenities.

Enclosed herewith are Registration Forms and Tournament Details which we hope you will send in soon. Deadline for submission of team entries shall not be later than MAY 17, 2003.

TEAM COMPETITION

CONDITIONS OF PLAY

A 18 hole 5 Man Team Event (4 to count) using the PAL Point System.Teams will be divided into 3 groups – A,B and C depending on the Average Handicap of the 4 lowest handicap team players.

HANDICAP

Certified Handicap Index (IPI,NGAP,IDC or USGA) for the month of April 2003 will apply. Provisional handicaps will be subject to a 10% deduction (except single digit handicappers). Players with no Handicap Index will be rated as 0 handicap.

Team Handicap will be as follows:
Group A 0 to 11
Group B 12 to 23
Group C 24 up

TEAM PARTICIPATION FEE

A team participation fee of P11,250.00 per team shall be paid together with the Registration Forms which should be submitted on or before MAY 17, 2003 at the RBAP Office in Manila.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Tee off will start at 6:00 am.-10:00 a.m. Tee off times will be posted not later than 5:00 pm at the Camp John Hay Golf Club one day before the tournament day. Awarding Ceremonies will be at 6:00 pm of the tournament day which will be held at a venue to be announced by RBAP.

TOURNAMENT WINNERS

Team winners will be as follows:
RB CONFED DIVISION / PARTNERS DIVISION
Group A Champion, 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up
Group B Champion, 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up
Group C Champion, 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up




INDIVIDUAL OPEN COMPETITION

CONDITIONS OF PLAY

A 18 hole Individual Open Competition using a System 36 format will be used. There will be 3 divisions namely, Men’s, Ladies’ and Jungolf with 5 winners in Ladies’-Jungolf division- Champion, 1st to 4th RunnerUp.

HANDICAP

PARTICIPATION FEE

A participation fee of P2,350.00 for Camp John Hay Non Members and P600.00 for CJHay Members. Advance payments will be accepted and will entitle players to tee off earlier after the Team flights. Registration Forms should be submitted on or before May 17, 2003.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Individual participants will tee off after Team Flights. Participants who have registered earlier will be given early tee off times or upon request provided that they complete a foursome.

Tee-off time will be until 11:00 a.m. only
