TO ALL MEMBER RURAL BANKS
We wish to inform your goodselves that 446 registered delegates (representing 324 Rural Banks out of 568 RBAP member banks in good standing) attended the Special Annual General Membership Meeting of the Association held last September 13-14, 2007 at the Manila Hotel. Having the required quorum, the voting rural bank delegates elected a new set of Directors, as follows: BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR F.Y. 2007-2008 1. Ms. Maricar Benilda Collado - Region I 2. Mr. Domingo I. Tinio - Region II 3. Mr. Romeo T. Tumalad - Region III 4. Mr. Tomas Gomez IV - Region III 5. Mr. Felino M. Angeles - Region IV 6. Mr. Augusto R. Medina - Region IV 7. Mr. Fidel Cu - Region V 8. Ms. Agnes L. Montelibano - Region VI 9. Ms. Paz C. Radaza - Region VII 10. Mr. Nicarlito Lumalang - Region VIII 11. Mr. Rizalito A. Sy - Region IX 12. Mr. Ernesto C. Galenzoga - Region X 13. Ms. Isabel D. Abasolo - Region XII 14. Mr. Joseph Omar Andaya - CARAGA 15. Mr. Benjamin C. Arciaga - NCR The Board of Directors, in its first Organizational Meeting, elected the following officers, President - PAZ C. RADAZA (RB Subangdaku) Vice President for Luzon - TOMAS GOMEZ IV (GM Bank) Vice President for Visayas - NICARLITO C. LUMALANG (RB Taft) Vice President for Mindanao - JOSEPH OMAR ANDAYA (Green Bank of Caraga) Treasurer - BENJAMIN C. ARCIAGA (RB Alabank) Corporate Secretary - DOMINGO I. TINIO (Banco Agricola, Inc.) The induction of the Directors and Officers was officiated by Solicitor General and Acting Secretary of Justice Agnes V.S.T. Devanadera. In the said special annual general membership meeting, the attendees affirmed their support for the elected Directors invoking the rule of the majority. The erstwhile silent members have spoken and stood up for the association. May we now earnestly request that all of us unite and move forward so that RBAP may continue its services to the member banks and once again serve as an effective voice to advocate the needs of its member banks.
