SUBJECT: REMEDIAL SEMINAR FOR GENERAL LEDGER REPORTING SYTEM & SED IV REPORTORIAL REQUIREMENTS


This is to notify the following rural banks of your confederation/ federation who have not attended the General Ledger (GL) Reporting System Road Show conducted last year that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas ng Pilipinas Institute (BSPI) has scheduled a remedial seminar for the same and will be the last.

Please advise the listed member rural banks to send their bookkeepers, accountants, analysts, specialists or any personnel preparing the monthly reports to attend the Seminar-Workshop and ensure their 100% participation. This is a mandatory requirement to rural banks as the launching for the GL reporting system will be on March and the implementation will be on September. Please find below the details about the conduct of the seminar:

· Course Title: General Ledger Reporting Seminar
· Venue: Room 611, 6th Floor EDPC Bldg., BSP, Manila
· Schedule: March 4-5 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
· Duration: 2 days


Allowable Bank Expenses
In this regard, please find below the guidelines covering the allowable expenses that each participant is entitled to, as follows:

1. Registration fee of Two Thousand Six Hundred Pesos (P2, 600)*; and
2. Actual transportation expenses from the rural bank to the venue and back.

It is understood that the abovementioned expenses shall be borne by the rural banks concerned.

Registration and Payments Requirements
Should these arrangements meet your approval, we thereby request you to submit to us not later than February 24, 2005 the following:

1. A non-refundable partial payment of One Thousand Three Hundred Pesos (P1,300) per participant. Payments could be remitted to the Rural Bankers’ Research and Development Foundation, Inc. bank account (Land Bank of the Philippines – Intramuros Branch Savings Account Number 0012-1046-26). Proof of payment (i.e., deposit slip) should be sent immediately to RBAP via facsimile for verification. Our facsimile numbers are (+632) 527-2969 or 527-2980. All checks should be payable to RBRDFI.
2. Nomination form, form attached, of the participant duly endorsed by the bank President/authority
3. Filled-up Participant’s Profile, form attached.

Terms and Conditions
1. Seminar fee. Includes the seminar materials, computer room rental, food (morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch) and Certificate of Completion.

2. Seminar slots. Please be advised that we will be accepting a maximum number of 2 participants per rural bank for the seminar. We reserve the right to limit the number of participants to a manageable level. Participants who have paid in full will be given a reservation priority. We reserve the right to turn down walk-in participants.

3. BSP Pass. For security purposes of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, nomination form of the participant must be submitted to RBAP on or before February 24, 2005. No name, no entry policy shall be adopted.

4. Cancellation. Participants who have paid but cannot attend the seminar will be entitled to a 50 percent rebate, provided, the nominating authority has advised RBAP in writing about the nominee’s non-attendance and this advise is received by RBAP at least one week before the scheduled seminar.

5. Replacement. Provided the total seminar fee has been paid, replacements at no extra charge to the participant are allowed for this seminar should the original nominated participant be unable to attend the seminar. Name of the replacement must be submitted on or before February 24, 2005.

6. Receipt of Certificate of Completion. Only participants who have attended the seminar in its entirety shall be entitled to a Certificate of Completion.

* Non-member rural banks will be charged three times the regular registration fee. To avail of the regular fee, non-member banks are encouraged to apply for membership with RBAP. Please call RBAP for details.
