Quality Services for RBs thru the RBAP Account Officer System |
|
Because RBs are the ideal partners for countryside development…
Because the RB system must be strengthened to unleash its full potential… RBAP exists to help you make this potential into a reality. The raison d' etre (reason for being) of RBAP is to be a full service organization for the industry and to provide timely, relevant and excellent services to its member banks. In order to deliver these services (i.e. information, training, technical assistance, membership, etc.), an efficient and effective staff support system within RBAP must be in place. RBAP’s membership has reached 729 RBs as of January 2004. Considering RBAP’s very lean organizational structure and the increasing number of services that is expected of us and that we would like to deliver, we saw the need to develop a system that would allow us to better serve the members and the industry. As such, the RBAP Account Officer (AO) System was officially implemented last December 2003. RBAP Account Officer System The AO System is technically an internal organizational structure developed primarily to support and sustain the delivery of RBAP services. Benefits of the System 1. It will facilitate the roll-out and implementation of RBAP programs and projects nationwide. 2. There is a clear point person within RBAP for each Confederation and Federation who will be responsible for looking after our members’ needs. 3. This will develop closer relations between RBAP and our 729 members as they know their needs are being attended to. 4. This is part of our efforts to make RBAP staff members multi-skilled and service-oriented. Each staff member will learn how to provide the “full-cycle” of service to our members, on top of their regular duties and responsibilities. Responsibilities of Account Officers (AOs) The Account Officers (AOs) shall be your contact person/s in RBAP. They have the following responsibilities: 1. To regularly update the Members' file particularly the contact information, the list of officers, their participation in RBAP programs and such other pertinent information relevant to RBAP; 2. To obtain information about the existing and planned programs, projects and activities of their assigned Confederations and Federations, upload the relevant information in the RBAP website and/or extend any assistance as may be requested by the Confederation or Federation; 3. To disseminate information about new laws, regulations and such other policy issues affecting the industry and to get the comments and position of the Confederations and Federations on these so that RBAP can act thereon and/or bring these to the attention of the relevant agency for appropriate action; 4. To disseminate information about the various RBAP programs and services that can be implemented jointly with the Confederation and/or Federation and coordinate/organize joint projects or cooperation between RBAP and the Confederation and/or Federation; 5. To generate ideas and suggestions from Confederations and Federations on how RBAP can improve its existing programs and services or develop new programs and services that would benefit the membership; and 6. To extend such other assistance that may be requested by the Confederation and/or Federation. SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS OF ACCOUNT OFFICERS
