CIRCULAR LETTER

TO : All Government Financial Institutions

In its 83rd meeting last May 15, 2003, the SMED Council adopted the theme “Sulong Pinoy…Maraming Tulong sa SMEs in the observance of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SMED) Week scheduled on 24-27 July 2003.

All government financial institutions (GFIs) are therefore enjoined to adopt in their promotional activities, the attached sample signage (hard and soft copy) of the SME Unified Lending Opportunities for National Growth (SULONG) Program. The second line shall be modified to indicate the participating GFI’s name e.g., “Land Bank of the Philippines’ SME Program”.

This requirement shall supplement the promotional activities in both the government and private sectors to celebrate the SMED Week as earlier requested in the attached Circular Letter to All Banks dated March 28, 2003.
